George Leon White, 81, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Franciscan Health, Lafayette. 

He was born Sept. 5, 1936, at Hillsboro, to the late Clyde T. White and Colistabel (Donham) Grimes.

He graduated from Richland Township School and proudly served in the Navy. On April 22, 1974, he married the love of his life, Annie Louise (Davis) White, who survives.

He was a truck driver for more than 55 years and shared 14 of those years with Annie in the truck. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of JehovahÂ’s Witnesses, Veedersburg. George loved the Apple Tree Restaurant, where he could be found at least three times a day. He loved drinking coffee and tinkering with his tractor, but most of all loved spending time with his wife and family.

George will be missed by his wife, Annie; four sons, Homer “Skeeter” (Patti) Myers, George Jr. (Kelly) White, Curtis White and Bob White; brother Steve (Sandy) Grimes; four grandchildren, Curtis Jr., Alex, Brianna and Leslie; and great-grandchild Sawyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Cristal; and brother Charles “Tom” White.

Cremation was chosen with a visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. First St., Kingman. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Kingdom Hall of JehovahÂ’s Witness, 408 N. U.S. Hwy 41, Veedersburg, IN 47987.
