ST. GEDEON, Quebec × Jules Vachon, 81, of St. Gedeon, Quebec, died Monday, Jan. 8, at home, with his family by his side.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Vachon. He was born Aug. 26, 1936, in St. Gedeon, Quebec.

He was predeceased by parents Joseph and Helen Vachon. He was educated in Canada and moved to the United States when he was 18 years old to work. He then served in the armed forces for several years, before returning to work for Callahan Bros. until his retirement.

Jules was known as a hard worker and a loving husband, father or friend to anyone who knew him. He was an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, entering full-time preaching after his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Fecteau, and her husband, James, of Mechanic Falls; his son, Daniel, of Auburn; and his grandson, Joshua Fecteau, of Hudson, Fla.

He was predeceased by his son, Robert Vachon, of Auburn.
