Kindall Wilson, 86, passed away January 16, 2018, at the Lawrence County Nursing Home after a short illness. Kindall was born August 7, 1931, in Wayne County to Edward and Katherine Martin, the eldest of 11 children.
Her husband, James E. Wilson of Monticello, preceded her in death in 1965. Kindall was a homemaker and retired from the Lawrence County Tax Assessor Collector in 1996. Kindall loved working in her garden and yard and spending time spoiling her grandchildren with an assortment of cakes, boiled peanuts and other foods found only at grandma’s.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was very active in the door-to-door ministry work.
Memorial service will be Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Prentiss.
Kindall is survived by her two sons, Larry Wilson (Pam) of Memphis, Tennessee and Randall Wilson (April) of Monticello; grandchildren, Chad Wilson (Haylee) of Byrom, Brooks Wilson (Felicia) of Memphis, Charity Walker (Jason) of Nashville, Tennessee, Madison Burrow of Monticello and John Thomas (JT) Wilson of Monticello; great-grandchildren, Griffin Wilson, Mason Walker, Dawson Walker, Ryleigh Cook, Christian McGhee, Madison McGhee and Ethan Wilson and brothers and sisters, Larry Martin of Heidelberg, Tracy Martin of Heidelberg, Don Martin of Walker, Louisisana, Doris Simeneaux of Heidelberg, Dot Brashier of Heidelberg, Judy Brashier of Heidelberg, David Martin of Meridian and Jimmy Dale Martin of Heidelberg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kindall was preceded in death by her brother, James Martin of Hammond, Louisiana, and her sister Carol Chisolm of Heidelberg.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Jehovah’s Witnesses Worldwide Ministry.
