Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Rosa Lanter; husband, Wayne Thomas; son, Gary Thomas; brother, Ford Lanter; and sister, Mary Lee Rider. She is survived by her sister, Inez James; brother and sister-in-law, Herb and Betty Lanter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. During her final years, she was lovingly cared for by special caregivers, Melissa Bechtel and Michael Allen.

A lifelong member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a memorial service will be held for Jenny Thomas at the Wytheville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 250 Grayson Road, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018. The family will receive friends during the hour before the service.

Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the family.
