We got to design our new vests for our prison ministry! We now have a small classroom in one of the main prisons here in Lima Peru, that we get to use twice a week as a mini Kingdom Hall. For some of us it’s more than 4 and ½ hours round trip on a bus those days and the heat is killer! But the smiles on our faces, the joy in our hearts, far surpasses any sacrifice we make! What a blessing to be part if this work, part of Jehovah’s international brotherhood! Jehovah Is Good @izzymelizzy thank you View the full article

Since the Organization has received "new light" regarding the 1914 generation, and completely changed their view on this, does this mean that all the former Jehovah's witnesses who were disfellowshipped years ago for the same view the organization is now teaching will automatically be accepted into fellowship again? Were these Ex-Jw's in fact disfellowshipped for truth and knew things that the governing body did not?

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia—The year 2016 marks 125 years since czarist authorities banished Semyon Kozlitskiy, one of the first Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia, for preaching the Bible’s message. In 1891, without a trial, Mr. Kozlitskiy was shackled in chains and exiled to Siberia, where he lived until his death in 1935. Over the past century, Russia’s feelings toward Jehovah’s Witnesses have remained largely the same. As noted in the latest reporting cycle of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, numerous sources indicate that Russia continues “to curtail freedom of expression, . . . and freedom of religion, targeting, inter alia, Jehovah’s Witnesses.” Mr. Heine…

Go . . . and make disciples of people of all the nations.—Matt. 28:19. As Jesus’ followers did that work, eventually the “good news of the Kingdom [would] be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations.” (Matt. 24:14) The disciples loved both Jesus and the good news. Yet, they might well have wondered just how they could possibly carry out their commission. After all, they were few in number. Jesus, whom they proclaimed to be the Son of God, had been put to death. His disciples were viewed as “uneducated and ordinary.” (Acts 4:13) And their message ran counter to the teachings of the prestigious religious leaders. Whatever concerns they may h…

Twice a year our local college in Porter, Texas, USA has an event called the Human Library. This is the second time our congregation has been present, due in part to our relationship with the college and our public witnessing on campus. The Human Library allows students to “check out” a living book to learn more about certain life experiences and break down stereotypes associated with different cultures and religions, including Jehovah’s Witnesses! We are so grateful to the staff and Jehovah to have had some great experiences so far. We have been able to give a wonderful witness to many students, clear misconceptions and further explain our beliefs in a relaxed and respec…
