Answer: The Memorial wine is a plain red wine , without any additives, or fortifications. Fermented red grape juice ONLY Often winemakers are not transparent about what they add to their wine. Most people don't realize that their fancy Cabernet Sauvignon has actually been treated with all kinds of chemicals. FYI: @JW Insider actually made an interesting comment last year concerning our buying only Passover or Kosher wines here Agape! @The Librarian

https://www.gaytimes.co.uk/life/us-house-of-representatives-set-to-vote-on-the-equality-act-next-week/ Look for the funny paragraph in here. This is a major step forward in the fight for LGBTQ+ protections and rights. It has been reported that Rep. David Cicilline reintroduced the Equality Act in the House of Representatives this past Thursday, with the bill being voted on next week. The Equality Act, which aims to protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination in fields such as housing or employment has passed its vote in the House of Representatives. Back in 2019, the bill passed by 236-173 vote, with most Democrats voting in favour, alongside eight …

https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2021/0217/Biden-Warnock-and-the-resurgence-of-the-liberal-Christian I was interested in this article as the JW teaching is that there will be a complete removal / banning of religion earthwide. When Mat Schmalz was coming of age in western Massachusetts decades ago, he took a year to volunteer for a Roman Catholic order in rural Oklahoma, helping to minister to some of the region’s poorer and more isolated communities. It was the first time he spent a significant amount of time away from the rhythms of his Catholic upbringing, and at first he felt a bit unmoored. But then it almost came as a surprise as he grew …

The letters below are an exchange between an elder and a past member of the organization, an anointed priest under Christ’s headship. The elder’s first sentence echoes the belief that only the Wt will lead people into “truth”, and “who” are doing the leading. As one member here recently said to an ex-JW, “ but you haven't suggested an alternate location/theology whereby Christians can come together and build up their faith on a regular basis.” Please consider the reply to the elder. From the elder: My dear Rachel The "who" today would be the faithful slave as mentioned in Matthew 24:45. These Brothers have taught us the truth about Jehovah, Je…

https://news.bloomberglaw.com/privacy-and-data-security/jehovahs-witnesses-facing-norway-data-regulators-privacy-audit The Norwegian Data Protection Authority says it will act on complaints made against the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ processing of members’ personal information. Acting on “several complaints and tips,” the agency said it has sent a series of questions to the Norwegian branch of the global church. According to the agency, the complaints relate to the processing of data held by judiciary committees, which act as the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ internal court system. Such committees can decide to take action against members who…

I've just started reading Revelation. This time I'm trying to concentrate on every word. An old, wise, Elder once said to me, "Every thing in the Bible is there for a reson. It's not just to take up space". Revelation chapter One. v5 & 6 To him who loves us and who set us free from our sins by means of his own blood— 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen. So this is to the Anointed ones. v 7 & 8.... Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because…

Man who sexually exploited girl (13) jailed for 18 months https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/courts/circuit-court/man-who-sexually-exploited-girl-13-jailed-for-18-months-1.4488735 A man who sexually exploited a 13-year-old girl has been jailed for 18 months. The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim, was 29 when he met the girl through their mutual association with a local Jehovah’s Witness congregation. Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that over a period of time in 2016 he and the girl exchanged messages on Viber, including sexually explicit images of the child. The man, now aged 34 and with an address in Dublin, …

Robert Faircourt has been deaf since childhood, and American Sign Language is his primary language. While he learned English in school, reading and understanding the Bible has always been a challenge for the 74-year-old from West Valley City, who was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1969. Over the years, he has longed for a deeper connection with teachings of the Bible. Faircourt’s prayers were answered one year ago as the Jehovah’s Witnesses released what the church believes is the first complete Bible in American Sign Language, a text-to-video translation project that took more than 15 years to complete. On 10 February, a court in the eastern Lebap Region jailed 20-year-old Jehovah's Witness conscientious objector Nazar Alliyev for one year for refusing compulsory military service. He is the seventh conscientious objector known to have been jailed so far in 2021. All had offered to perform an alternative civilian service, but Turkmenistan does not offer this. Turkmenistan has rejected repeated United Nations calls to introduce such a service. Courts jailed six Jehovah's Witness conscientious objectors in January, five of them within the space of two days. As all six had already served earlier sentences on the same charges, courts handed all of them a two-year jail te…

Russian authorities have detained and placed under house arrest a Jehovah’s Witness in Siberia amid a continued crackdown on the religious group, which was labeled as extremist and banned in the country in 2017. The Investigative Committee said in a statement on February 17 that a 53-year-old resident of the town of Belovo in the Kemerovo region was placed under house arrest on suspicion of organizing a Jehovah’s Witnesses "cell." The man, whose identity was not disclosed, refused to cooperate with investigators citing Article 51 of the Russian Constitution, the statement said, adding that the suspect had been apprehended after the homes of several alleged membe…

Six Jehovah's Witnesses jailed on "extremism"-related charges applied for early release after serving half their jail terms, but have been unsuccessful. Prison administrations opposed the applications with what Jehovah's Witnesses describe as "fabricated evidence" of violations of prison rules. Four of the prisoners were accused of smoking in the wrong place, but Jehovah's Witnesses do not smoke. Another Jehovah's Witness jailed since 2018 and a Muslim reader of Nursi's works jailed since 2017 should both become eligible to apply in summer 2021. Six Jehovah's Witnesses jailed on "extremism"-related charges for exercising their right to freedom of religion or belief…

https://www.wesa.fm/post/after-state-blunder-pa-abuse-victims-ask-who-hell-are-we-supposed-trust#stream/0 The news that Pennsylvania had screwed up the process for putting a constitutional amendment before voters that would allow victims of decades-old sexual abuse to sue hit Jay Sefton hard. When the Pennsylvania Department of State failed to advertise the proposed constitutional amendment that had been passed by the legislature, it halted a march toward justice for thousands of victims abused in the commonwealth. The constitutional amendment process takes two years, and unless an emergency provision passes by mid-April, it would be 2023 before victims would be…

https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2021/february/jordan-christians-evangelicals-courts-archbishop-atallah.html I thought this was strangely interesting Long-simmering suspicions between Orthodox and evangelical Christians have blown up recently over the refusal of the Jordanian government to allow evangelical churches full legal standing under the country’s religiously divided judicial system. In Jordan, the legal system is divided into civil courts, where commercial and criminal cases are heard, and separate religious courts that settle matters of marriage, divorce, and child custody according to canon law for the majority-Muslim population and…

A court in southern Russia has handed the country's longest prison sentence yet to an elderly Jehovah’s Witness leader for organizing an “extremist” group, the religious organization said Wednesday. Authorities accused Alexander Ivshin, 63, of organizing the activities of a banned organization, including hosting Bible discussions with friends via video link, until his April 2020 detention as part of mass raids in the Krasnodar region. Russia outlawed the Jehovah’s Witnesses as “extremists” in 2017. Alexander Ivshin, 63, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for activities including hosting Bible discussions via video link. https://www.themoscow…

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/2/15/frances-controversial-separatism-bill-explained Critics say the so-called “separatism law” is discriminatory and targets France’s 5.7 million-strong Muslim community, the largest in Europe. This month, French MPs staged two weeks of heated debates in the National Assembly, discussing some 1,700 proposed amendments to the bill’s 51 articles. While France’s left lambasted an attack on civil liberties, the right criticised the government for failing to overtly tackle “Islamist extremism”, which is not mentioned in the text. With debates in the lower house now completed and 313 amendments accepted, a vote will take …

htt.ps://news.sky.com/story/disaster-declared-in-texas-as-rare-winter-storm-causes-widespread-power-cuts-cancelled-flights-and-temperatures-to-plummet-to-5c-12218691 An Arctic air mass has settled over the southern US bringing some states to a standstill Ice storms, heavy snow and freezing rain knocked out power, closed roads and saw 1,000 cancelled flights in southern Texas. Bad winter weather is extremely rare as far south as the Gulf Coast. President Joe Biden has declared a federal emergency. I read that there was a massive vehicle accident / wreck too. If you are in that area, try to stay safe. Seems to be one problem on top of anothe…

The Guinean government has declared an Ebola ep…
