The Bible describes the events that will occur before and after the identification of Gog of Magog. Most have not yet gained the understanding that Armageddon begins as a Spiritual Event and then Ends as a Literal One. The Last Days are cut short in the sense that Gog of Magog's Attack on God's Named People are stifled and held in check, and 'they will not cause any harm or any ruin in all my holy mountain'. (Isaiah 11:9) This EVENT could very well last 1,000 years while Satan and his demons are put in a deathlike state of inactivity. ARMAGEDDON is the beginning of Christ’s Millennial Reign. The Great Crowd enters “the times of restoration of all things” that expands…

Contributed by a poster on reddit: "Who really is the Faithful and Discrete Slave? (Surely he himself must know)" Let's find out... (Specific Watchtower publication references available on request) These are all directly from WT articles over the decades. If the only path of eternal life is truth in God’s Word, why would one tolerate untruths? (John 1:17; 14:6; 17:17; 1 John 4:6; 2 Tim 2:15) Once we fall into a truth-baited trap, finding we’ve been surrounded by the deep darkness of untruths, what happens? (Ps 140:5; Amos 3:5; Col 2:8; Rev 13:10; 2 Cor 6:14) We either fold our hands and accept the good with the bad, as thousands have done so for the rest of their fleshly lives; or our heart condition is motivated at some point to know why – why would God teach His people doctrine that is revealed to be untrue; doctrine which men call repeatedly, “adjustments in understanding” and “new light”. (Isa 5:20,21; 50:1…

God’s Kingdom Quietly Removes Its Enemies since 1919.... Prophecies point to the 'timing' of the coming days as a Day of Vindication of Jehovah's Name. There are two years within Jehovah's Organization that can give us insight to the timing of the coming Vindication. Knowing these dates do not give anyone divine protection or superpowers. Matter of fact, knowing such dates and understanding them can make one more accountable to Jehovah. Serving Jehovah with a Full Heart no matter what date comes and goes should be our Priority. If you followed and read articles I have written in the past, you well know about the years 1914 and 2034. But those are not th…

"JEHOVAH GOD is the Grand Identifier of his true messengers. He identifies them by making the messages he delivers through them come true. Jehovah is also the Great Exposer of false messengers. How does he expose them? He frustrates their signs and predictions. In this way he shows that they are self-appointed prognosticators, whose messages really spring from their own false reasoning—yes, their foolish, fleshly thinking!"w97 5/1 p. 8 I found this wt. quote after answering a JW on reddit with this comment. For any JW passing through here... Do you remember the cover of the 5/15/1984 Awake magazine? If not, you can look up its image on Google. Do you think that…

The word “soul” in the Bible is a translation of the Hebrew word neʹphesh and the Greek word psy·kheʹ. The Hebrew word literally means “a creature that breathes,” and the Greek word means “a living being.” Many Bible translations render the words neʹphesh and psy·kheʹ differently according to the context, using words such as soul, life, person, creature, or body."And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7)Adam wasn't given a soul as many religions teach, but rather, Adam, Became a Living Soul. Notice how others translated this verse @ (Genesis 2:7) | New International…

The Time Left Is Reduced! "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) The Bible does point to conditions and a timetable to expect when such prophecies will be fulfilled. Therefore, a certain amount of time would be needed to pass in order for the end to be brought forth. Notice the following verses as it pertains to time."He will revive us after two days. On the third day he will raise us up, And we will live before him. We will know, we will earnestly seek to know Jehovah. His going out is as certain as the dawn; He will come to us like a pouring ra…

Is Christ the Angel of God’s Presence? “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his Presence saved them" (Isaiah 63:9 ASV) “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him” (Exodus 23:20-21 KJV)"He was oppressed and he let himself be afflicted, But he would not open his mouth. He was brought like a sheep to the slaughter, Like a ewe that is silent before its shearers, And he would not open his mouth." (Isaiah 53:7)"And he was given a burial place with the wicked, And w…

Like these.... Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, And your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovah. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts." 42 Then Job said in reply to Jehovah: 2 “Now I know that you are able to do all things And that nothing you have in mind to do is impossible for you.+ 3 You said, ‘Who is this who is obscuring my counsel without knowledge?’+ Therefore I spoke, but without understanding About things too wonderful for me, which I do not know.+ 4 You said, ‘Ple…

This post is an extension of another comment just recently made here. “I will give you insight and instruct you in the way you should go” Ps 32:8a (NWT) This scripture was used by G. Losch, when speaking to JWs about having trust in the “faithful and discreet slave”. (Matt 24:45) His talk began with these words: “1 Cor 13:7 says, that love ‘believes all things’. Trusting others is an expression of love. If you love somebody you only assume and think the best of him.” With that, he laid the groundwork to convince JWs that their love for the governing leadership, should motivate belief and trust in what they teach. (Prov 5:1-4; 21:6; 2 Tim 4:3,4) …

I think I'll be the pink elephant in the room with this one.... I finally have a break from college, coming back, and it is still pretty much the same prime suspects lol 😲 visible shock 😲 I take it no one has really changed that much? Did anything different instead, just say JW this and that? Same topics, etc? lol But seriously, has anyone ever changed or did something so far? Did something positive? No barking, but biting wise?

Just recently, a massive, devastating locust plague made its way across areas of eastern Africa, threatening livelihoods and food supply, with new swarms developing from heavy rains experienced last month. This plague is expected to continue until the beginning of the harvest season in June and July, at the least. The countries of Yemen, Iran, and Pakistan are also on alert, as the development of a “new generation” makes headway into new territory. They appear to be unstoppable, as long as the conditions are favorable to support their life cycle. Individual locusts experience a transformation that allows a swarm to develop; from the inconspicuous looking grasshopper…

I will address the below briefly because apparently when someone "calls" you to claim, they run away from even the basics of asking. I will also repost key points of a debate I had regarding this topic with better quotations, this because when forums update, some words or punctuations turn into symbols. What is Abaddon, and what does that name/title means: Abaddon (אֲבַדּוֹן) is a Hebrew term, that derives Avaddon, meaning either Destruction or Doom. Like the Hebrew term, the Greek equivalent is Apollyon (Ἀπολλύων) which means Destroyer [The Destroyer]. This appears in the Scriptures in both instances, in regards to a place of destruction, as for the angel in…

What do you think of the following below, like the other passage that was discussed, these are said to be spurious or forged, be it added or removed, whatever. Let's keep this BIBLE SCRIPTURE ONLY, for once this thread needs something neutral instead of the world war III stuff going on, reasons why I asked if ANYONE really changed Simply just quote whatever verse or passage, and show your findings. If you have to interact with someone else, only use Scripture and your findings. Consider this a Bible based activity. Mark 16:9-20 Revelation 1:11 1 Timothy 3:16 1 John 5:7 Acts 10:48 Acts 16:7 Hebrews 1:3 Ephesia…

https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/kingdom-interlinear-greek-translation/books/ https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/ I am using the 1985 version of this Interlinear Greek translation by Watchtower, and I'm wondering if there is an updated version or a better version I could be using. I have hard copy of this, but also I found one on the JW Org website but it didn't have a date of publication, so i don't know if it's a newer one. Also is there a Watchtower approved translation of the Hebrew scriptures ? A couple of points though. As you will know I believe the scriptures are for the 'true' Anointed and that when Jesus is ready (Jesus has all au…

Unfortunately it seems there is a young JW here that is being misguided by a man that 'thinks' he knows truth. Can we please set matters straight about the wrong use of scripture. https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-study-april-2020/An-Attack-Coming-From-the-North/ The Watchtower—Study Edition | April 2020 STUDY ARTICLE 14 An Attack Coming From the North! 2 As those Bible students soon found out, however, it can be one thing to learn what the Bible teaches about a certain doctrinal subject but quite another to discern correctly the meaning of a Bible prophecy. Why is that so? For one thing…

The Fulfillment of Matthew 24:14 about to Be Revealed...The preaching work that Jesus Christ started two thousand years ago is now coming to its’ conclusion. Jesus sent his followers to go from house to house by twos. Jehovah's Witnesses share this good news at no cost to you as they are volunteers bearing the brunt of the expenses themselves. As True Christians going from door to door, town to town, city to city, country to country with much opposition, reaching your door took much effort and often times, lives were placed in harms way to bring You the Good News of God's Kingdom.Sometimes the most rude people are the most religious as Jesus Christ found out in his day. A man calls himself a TRUTHER. Another man calls himself TRUE And an Organisation says they have the TRUTH. But Jesus says (recorded at Matthew 9 :13. Berean Study BibleBut go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” God's word is TRUTH, that is real truth. The Pharisees had the Hebrew scriptures, so it could be said that the Pharisees 'had truth'. So why did Jesus condemn the Pharisees ? Because the Pharisees were hypocrites. They knew those scriptures well, but used it to be dictators of the people. Hence the scripture above. Almighty God and Jesus desires …

A governing leader commented in a recent convention video, that the early Christian congregations did not lose their faith because of persecution, but because “false brothers” slipped into the congregation with their spiritual “poison”, to mislead God’s people. (Heb 12:14,15) This did occur as verified by Jude 1:4 that he cited. The scriptures do give ample warning of that possibility. (Rom 16:17,18; Gal 1:7,8) However, the warning applies particularly to the last anointed remnant on earth, before Christ’s return. (Matt 24:24,22; 7:15; 2 Thess 2:1-4; Rev 8:10; 9:1-4;13:11,12; 16:13-16; 12:4,15,17) These “false brothers” have left their covenant in Christ to purs…

John 2 From verse 19 onward. When it was late that day, the first day of the week, and the doors were locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them: “May you have peace.” 20 After saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced at seeing the Lord.21 Jesus said to them again: “May you have peace. Just as the Father has sent me, I also am sending you.” 22 After saying this he blew on them and said to them: “Receive holy spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain those of anyone, they are retained.”24 But Thomas, one of the Twelve, who …

Did the Apostle Paul Have A Dog? The other day, I was thinking about the wonderful relationship humans and canines have, and the thought occurred to me that the Apostle Paul may have been very, very lonely, all those days and nights walking along dusty roads all over Asia, and wherever his travels led him, and I tried to visualize what he did from day to day, night to night ... where he ate, where he slept, all manner of personal hygiene, how he handled sickness, sunburn, cut feet, avoiding ruffians, bullys and highwaymen seeking to rob and kill him. Perhaps along the way he acquired a dog to go along with him, and watch over him as he slept along the side of the roa…

It is interesting that just as I was about to respond to the comment @BroRando made under the heading, "Like the Days of Noah", the topic was suddenly closed to further comments. However, I will respond here. Quote @BroRando - "Therefore the prophecy, "It puts under compulsion all people—the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the slaves—that these should be marked on their right hand or on their forehead, and that nobody can buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name" at (Rev 13:16-17) will have come in Full Force. A door to door enforcement if need be." "Have you dedicated your life t…

Like the Days of Noah... What to expect? You can expect a ton of persons to become immediately interested in the Bible, once we stop offering New Bible Studies. The time to think about it a little longer will have come to its end. "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Jesus in private told his disciples, "For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into th…

The 40 year refinement period is a Biblical Pattern that has been used over and over again. This 'period of testing' is a purity test to bring out impurities or help build up faith. It can also be used in referring judgement in a positive or negative outcome. In some cases, the period can be days rather than years. Moses, Elijah, and Jesus all fasted for 40 days. However, a 40 year refinement period in triplicate intensifies the seriousness of the judgment coming for those unable or unwilling to be refined. For example, the intensity of the 'woes' to come to those dwelling on earth is forecast by the triple repetition of the declaration “woe.”—Re 8:13 …

Hayes) In his discourse on the Mount of Olives, Jesus speaks about His Second Coming and the signs of the last days and warns his disciples, “See to it that no one deceives you.” Jesus then lists a series of sobering events which would earmark the end of the age. Two thousand years later – with relentless wars, earthquakes and famine…
