Not sure if anyone saw this before concerning the Rephaim

Keep in mind, hypocrites. I mentioned long ago I would be exiting this forum in 2023. I mentioned 2023 a dozen times. What I didn't mention, I was referring to the Jewish Calendar. When does 2023 start @JW Insider?

The Watchtower already knows about this site. That, no longer matters. Jehovah Witnesses have gotten a warning about sites like this in the last few meetings. So it's up to any righteous Witness to reject what Satan offers as Christianity.

By the Jewish calendar, an event was slated. Putin already made sure of it. Perhaps a week or two beforehand, but prophecy is not always precise when it comes to timing, not the event. That was already marked. Relevancy, @BroRando application of prophecy. 2023 is significant.

The only thing I know for sure on this topic is that when I relied on A.I. to transcribe a Bible talk, it rendered ‘Nephilim’ as ‘Netflix.’

This proves you do not know what JW teach and what they base it on.  The bible itself says at psalm 90 how long a generation is - it is NOT a hypothesis!    The span of our life is 70 years,Or 80

Apologies - I will not try to defend myself.  I obviously have offended you. Sorry.

Did you at least read the above comments I made where I explained that these books are not worthy of studying in detail?

I am so sorry. Somehow my remarks did not translate. ‘Your remarks prove otherwise’ means that you are being modest, and that you obviously are intelligent.

The big dumb animals ramming each other with horns—does not include you. You are the refreshing contrast here.

But now Dimitar is acting up in ways totally incomprehensible to me. Maybe I am not paying adequate attention here. But then, it’s not a particularly easy task.

The Bible speaks of two men that were translated to heaven without dying- Enoch and Elijah. “ Enoch was translated that he should not see death (Hebrews 11:5),

1) Is this "translation" that is being written about happening constantly until today?
2) How many more people have been "ascended" to heaven since then?
3) Does that mean you believe in living in “heaven” for people who are not members of the famous 144,000 group?

4) quote; translated to heaven without dying- Enoch and Elijah - You commented that you do not believe in life after death. So these did not die but went to heaven alive?

Enoch was afraid of mortal agony, so "God took him" to go to "heaven" painlessly.
Jesus was not afraid of the suffering of dying, so God left him in the grave for 3 days. After that, he "took him to heaven", too.
He is not the ordinary God we believe in, is he?

Reading through some of these comments it’s the first time in my life I have seen the word “translation” used to describe how Enoch was supposedly taken to heaven.

Without dying!

Gimmee a break!

I have previously been exposed to the word “transference”, or “transferred” to described how he was extracted as if by helicopter from his potential and real perils.

The important points to me were this…… the Bible did NOT say, repeat did NOT say, that he was killed. It’s important that the Bible did NOT say he was taken to heaven!

It makes no sense to me that Jehovah would save someone by killing them, whether they “saw it coming”, or not.

Because the word “transference” was used and because it made no sense to me the current explanations from any source, I got to thinking about what does the word “Transfer” really mean.

What does “transfer” really mean?

The Bible does not provide an explanation, so what would a normal rational person with common sense conclude the word “transfer” or “transference” actually meant in context with all that was going on, back then …… AND The common sense explanation that Jehovah God does not reward faithfulness by killing the faithful?

I know in modern times, if you work for a company and are a valuable and loyal employee, you may be promoted to a new position in another town and be transferred there. They do not kill you, presumably, and they do not send you to heaven, unless of course possibly you are an astronaut, Or a cosmonaut.

Therefore it makes more sense to me to ignore all explanations that do not use simple every day language and simple every day explanations.

….. my guess is, and I’m going to tell people that what I “know“, is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and just plain old common sense, including that caveat, Is that Enoch was not killed, did not go to heaven, but was simply relocated or transferred to another location somewhere else on earth.

That makes the most common sense to me, and keeps the meaning of the word and does not assume things that are not said in the Bible.

Otherwise, you’re just making stuff up.

On a non- sequiterial related note, have you ever noted that representations of “ghosts” are always wearing clothes?

Where do they shop?

In what sense. Are you referring to people disappearing, then they are found by law enforcement?

If you are referring to the 144,000, none.

No! However, the 144,000 have not been called upon to receive their heavenly reward and service to Christ.

Did I say, Enoch and Elijah went to heaven? I mentioned to @Arauna she should do better in reading comments, since you have indicated it, now you disappoint me.

Where did you read about this?

You need to clarify this comment. God allowed Jesus to suffer the pain of humanity. Yes! He ascended to Heaven after death as a PERFECT man. Are you saying Enoch and Elijah were perfect? Do you believe Enoch and Elijah were distant to be a sacrifice for humanity?

This would be a decision you make against God. I would never judge God.

Enoch asked God ...... God didn't ask Enoch;  Do you want me to kill you?

Can you post the reference, you are talking about? In Genesis, I don't see that type of reference. In Hebrews, it makes no reference that Enoch asked God, anything.

NIV Gen 5:21-24

21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. 22 And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

NIV Heb 11:5-6

5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

    • You are not in Kansas, anymore. Your bluster is irrelevant.
    • That simply implies that you, as a glorified plumber, do not truly comprehend quantum physics as you pretend to. However, you are indeed right about one thing - your criminal record, which is easily accessible to anyone, will reveal the true nature of your character. That was the intended reference, not the delusional manipulation of words that you employ to divert attention from the fact that you are fundamentally driven by base instincts as an animal at heart, which you continue to display, and people want to continue to defend you for it. Their vigorous defense of you speaks volumes about their lack of Christian ethics, overshadowing your insignificant existence. I prefer not to engage in conflict with an uninformed individual, even in this thread that was intriguing, but unfortunately, someone uncouth always manages to spoil it.
    • HERE IS WHAT YOU ACTUALLY POSTED!!! YIKES!
    • First of all, I have no criminal record which is immaterial and irrelevant to a discussion of quantum physics. You are trying to attack my credibility with ad-hominem attacks to deflect from your colossal incompetence. If I was a Nazi mass-murderer chained to a wall in Spandau Prison, what I stated here would still be true … and if you were an angel from God your irrelevant bullshit would STILL be irrelevant bullshit. You have PROVED here you havn’t got the SLIGHTEST clue what you are talking about … with every sentence. This is NOT the JW open club … we are NOT discussing theology, we are discussing the physics of light, which your statements and bluffs CLEARLY show you have no understanding at all … None Whatsoever! I wii have to admit, you got balls the size of an elephant to try an backup your complete drivel about Quantum Electrodynamics with that bogus book on intimate relationships, and ad-hominem attacks.  If you were a cow, that cowboy with the rifle might advise you to wipe that foam off of your mouth!
