  1. 1. Is the use of the JW.org symbol (icon) the same as one using a cross?

Personally I would never grab my jw.org button and pray to Jehovah with it. I would never wear it as a symbol of the Christ .  I would not hang it in my house or in my car for a form of protection. And I would only direct ones to it as a teaching tool that leads them to their bibles and the truth Jesus taught according to jehovahs direction. These are the last days and Jehovah is trying to reach every searching soul. Disciples of truth. Just my two scents?

While not being worn as a symbol of the Christ, how about wearing it and using it as a symbol of the organization you believe Jehovah is using, the WTS.  As a symbol of God's Organization, it could be seen as worship of that organization.

Not really. But I know that Brother Rutherford made a point to speak often of "The Signal" which technically meant the Kingdom that started in 1914. The "Signal" was always described exactly the same

if you have a conscious problem with it don't wear a pin then.  I have a conscious problem with sports and the Olympics so I don't watch them. It's pretty simple. People are going to see things the way they want to regardless. And maybe it will be discontinued who knows all I know is I see it as the same as handing out literature. A person sees it goes to the sight which then in turn leads them to their bible. It's the end times I think it cuts time in half as far as reaching ones and especially those who are afraid to ask they all deserve to know Jehovah and to know about his wonderful kingdom.

Would you consider the wearing of a cross, representing Jesus who died for us, a conscience matter also?

I'm sorry that you just cannot get past the wearing of logos  it's your choice I'm not here to tell you one way or another. As you could see in my very first comment. I said ("in my personal opinion") and our logo leads you directly to bible teaching iv not known this to be the case fore the wearing of the cross. Again I think you just miss the real point.

Well, the wearing of the cross in the cross and crow lapel pin used to be considered by your religion to symbolize the death of Christ, and to encourage, sustain and comfort the household of faith.  It was at one time featured in a window at Brooklyn Bethel with the words, “IN THE CROSS OF CHRIST WE GLORY”, and the lapel pin was given to visitors at the WTS headquarters in NYC.  It also was portrayed very prominently in the funeral of your religion's founder, C.T. Russell.

Christ Himself said that when he was lifted up (on the cross) he would draw all men to him, John 3:14-15 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;  so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life."

John 12:32 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”

If you view the JW.Org logo as something which draws others to Christ, could that be seen as worship?

Very flexible use of the English Language here....Its a Logo. Not a symbol. It doesnt represent a concept. Its not a visual image. It doesnt suggest an idea. Its a logo.

Many institutions the world over use logos to represent themselves. Correlating the JW logo with the Cross of Christendom is disingenous hyperbole at best.

Hi SonOfcaleb,

I heard a Witness say once, that there was no truth to be found on the internet except jwdotorg.  It is a concept and a symbol and very visual when seen on each kingdom hall.  It suggests the idea that it is the source of truth, or truth.  It has become a major avenue of the organization, which is considered "the truth".

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted-you may well put up with it!  2 Cor 11:3-4

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."  Acts 4:12

You may have a point there.

These are examples of symbols:
